Slack是由Slack技术所开发的一款基于云端运算的即时通讯软件。Slack这个词其实是一个缩写，意思是“所有可搜索的会话和知识日志”（Searchable Log of All Conversation and Knowledge）。[6]
历史
Slack最初是斯图尔特·巴特菲尔德的公司Tiny Speck开发在线游戏Glitch期间用来交流的内部通讯工具。[7][8]Slack于2013年8月正式推出。[9]
2015年3月，Slack声称它在2015年2月遭到黑客入侵，持续时间长达4天，并且某些用户数据遭到破坏。这些数据包括电子邮件地址、用户名、哈希密码（Password Hash）以及有些与用户帐户相关联的电话号码和Skype ID。后来Slack为防范攻击而在其产品中添加了多重要素验证。[10]
